Warmly Welcome to IVORY WORK - SHOP !!
U Tin Aung ivory curving industry, a traditional business which is now in its 5th generations, is organized by U Tin Aung and Daw Amar Nyo. It has been standing as a prestigious business since the era of the Myanmar kings.
Being able to give a complete satisfaction to our clients, we can maintain the good reputation of our family's traditional heritage.
Ivory, the raw material of U Tin Aung's ivory curving industry, is obtained from elephants which die a natural death. Elephants serve as reliable workers in Myanmar timber industry. Elephants are owned by both the government and the private sector. Private-own elephants need to be registered at the department of Forestry. If elephants die naturally, death certificate can be obtained from the department of Forestry. Only then, the ivory can be sold legally. The owners of the dead elephants can sell the ivory in order to buy new elephants. In this way, raw ivory is available.
No one is allowed to kill elephants in Myanmar. The Lord Buddha prohibited us from killing life. Furthermore, He highlighted that doing a business which involves killing one's life is not the right livelihood.
Being more valuable than their tusks, elephants are not supposed to be killed for their tusks. As elephants are valuable animals, their tusks are as precious as jewellery like diamond, gold and ruby. Wearing ivory jewellery can bring such benefits as protection, not being able to be deceived by others, having unique beauty unlike other jewellery. In addition, installing ivory sculptures in the living room will bring the house grace and glory, which gives happiness and pleasure to anyone who beholds it.
Hence, you can take pride in the unique beauty of your body with ivory jewellery. Moreover, you can relieve all your stress from your tedious job and create a relaxing and cheerful mind by decorating your living room with magnificent ivory sculptures.
